So you want to be a network marketer?
You already are – OK then,
Here’s what your upline told you..
Make a list of everyone you know – call them up and say “ I just found this and thought of you” Then try and sell them into your new biz opp – Am I right? or
Put flyers out in car parks, hand out business cards, get people to the rah rah meeting on Tuesday night etc. That’s what my upline told me and guess what..
In 2010 that old school form of MLM simply just doesn’t work anymore. Did you know that over 90% of people who get involved in network marketing will fail? It’s a sad but true FACT.
Why do they fail?
There are many different reasons but the 4 most common are.
1 – A lack of leads (people to talk to)
2 – A lack of training.
3 – A lack of business capital (Money)
4 – A lack of duplication.
You see, once you have gone through your list of Family, Friends, Organisations, Geography, Same or ‘FROGS’ as it known to the old school boys and girls, you have run out of people or leads or prospects, what ever you want to call them. Now be honest, how many people that you wrote on that list were going to be interested anyway?
The lack of training is there because most people who actually do sign up somebody have no idea what they are doing! I have a favourite quote from a guy called Mike Dillard (if you don’t know who Mike is – You really should do!) It goes..
The network marketing industry is an industry of marketing and promotion pursued by people who have no idea how to market or promote.
The lack of capital (money) comes from the fact that when you start out in network marketing, you are starting a business, I’ll repeat that “A Business” But because of the low start up costs involved with MLM, people tend to forget that it’s still a business and as such will require certain things to get it off the ground and to keep it running. Such things as advertising, buying stock, paying for training (if there is any) promotional items such as business cards, flyers etc etc – There are costs in running a business and if you don’t have capital to finance those costs, it has to come from your own pocket. If like 90% of people you don’t recruit anyone or sell any of your product then you WILL go out of business VERY soon.
The lack of duplication is a simple one to explain, your people will do what YOU do. So if you are spending more than you’re earning with your MLM – Your downline will no doubt be doing the same and they WILL quit before very long. So instead of growing your business, you will spend all your time replacing the people who simply couldn’t afford to do it any longer.
So there’s the doom and gloom of network marketing in 2010..
What is the answer?
You need an unlimited supply of new leads that don’t cost you anything to get.
A easy system that will teach you step by step what to do with them.
A way to make money from those leads even if they so NO to your opportunity.
And finally a system that trains the people you recruit to do the same.
Sounds great doesn’t it? If only there was a way to achieve that, we’d all be laughing all the way to the bank!
