Think and Grow Rich: Original Version
By Napoleon Hill
This is one of the best-selling self-help books of all time. Written during the Great Depression, against a backdrop of millions of people out of work and a looming world war, Napoleon Hill’s magnum opus held out hope that life could get better. While not considered part of the New Thought movement, Hill drew on many of their concepts and techniques. He prefigured the ‘Prosperity Consciousness’ of present-day New Age thinkers. And a host of motivational writers and speakers have followed in his footsteps..
by Robert T. Kiyosaki
The book is the story of a person (the narrator and author) who has two fathers: the first was his biological father – the poor dad – and the other was the father of his childhood best friend, Mike – the rich dad. Both fathers taught the author how to achieve success but with very disparate approaches. It became evident to the author which father’s approach made more financial sense. Throughout the book, the author compares both fathers – their principles, ideas, financial practices, and degree of dynamism and how his real father, the poor and struggling but highly educated man, paled against his rich dad in terms of asset building and business acumen.

When I got this book I could not put it down, I have read it over and over again, each time greater understanding of my life. I would recommend this book to all who are searching for the truth and who practice manifestation. It is at the top of my list of recommends and I have read hundreds of books.
Informal, friendly, and humorous, this little book has inspired thousands since its 1925 publication. Its practical examples show how positive attitudes can make you a "winner" in life. Change Your Life in Seven Days (Book & CD)
By Paul McKenna – Includes free mind programming CD
I’ve always found Paul McKenna accessible and engaging, this is one of my favourite, easy to read books. For me it severed as a simple introduction to NLP which I’ve been interested in ever since. Did it change my life in 7 days? No, it took me a little longer!, but yes I did notice changes. Obviously Paul’s books are only as effective as the effort put in by the person reading it. It won’t change your life if it sits on your bookcase shelf for 7 days!

By Robert Greene
The 48 Laws of Power is an incredible compilation of the history of power and how others have successfully and not so successfully played power games. Each chapter describes one law of power with examples and strategies.
Examples of how the law was applied successfully and how the law was misused or not applied are shared from the point of view of historical figures and the events surrounding them. The "Key to Power" section describes how to apply a specific law to a current situation. Greene includes a segment on “Reversals” to show when not to use the law or how to defend when the law is being used by others. Quotes about power printed in red ink and arranged in fanciful shapes adorn the sidebars of each chapter adding visual interest and information.
